DFA In Action
Another shout-out for Jim Davis.
DFA is a great way for activists to get informed and involved. After reading about our future governor, "Voice Your Support" and tell the rest of the grassroots community why Jim is the best candidate to lead our state.
Hint: His background, goals, and issues provide several clues. Or you can go with that disarming smile and slight resemblance to Mark Ruffalo...

While I share your concern about the future of our great state with the possibility of another Republican at the helm, I do not share your love for Jim Davis. Rod Smith by far is the best candidate to represent the Democratic Party and take back Tallahassee. Rod is a strong leader on education as seen by his recent efforts to defeat Governor Bush's unconstitutional voucher proposal. He also has a strong record as the State Attorney for Alachua County. Take another look at Rod Smith the man you should be supporting.
I agree that Rod is a strong leader and respected in Tallahassee; however, he's unknown throughout the rest of the state and hasn't a chance against Charlie Crist.
It's over. Get behind Jim. And handle it.
Just another poltician ...
Whereas I read Mr. Davis's web site and his positionpapers, he unfortunately fails to offer anything more than political platitudes. While I agree that the FCAT needs reform, for example, Mr. Davis does not indicate whether he would keep the current grading system for schools.
Further, Mr. Davis is great on promising all of these fantanstic items, but does not indicate how he will pay for any of his proposals other than sapping any surplus from the current state fiscal outlook.
Long on proimises -- way short on details. You know there is a problem when your total platform is three pages long.
Jim indicates that he would stop using FCAT as a punishment and instead use it more as a diagnostic tool - speeding up the time in which its graded so schools will benefit more from the scores. That sounds to me like a big change from the current grading system. Then again, I can read.
The surplus is in great shape. Using part of it to build new schools and pay currently underpaid teachers is an investment, Einstein, not a drain. Way to get behind kids and their educators.
Complaining that there is nothing in a proposal, then touting several "fantastic items"...hmmm...you know something is wrong when you contradict yourself at least three times.
Nice! Where you get this guestbook? I want the same script.. Awesome content. thankyou.
