I Had to Open My Big Mouth

After bragging about my chili and complaining that Steve Otto's annual contest was off-limits to the likes of me, I heard from the big man himself:

I certainly hope you will reconsider and enter my contest. There are usually
three or four vegetarian chilis each year and if you use the secret ingredient I
noticed on your blog, it would greatly enhance your chances of winning. Besides,
we have a good time and even make a little money for charity…steve

I'll be entering the contest to go up against guys like this.
