Those Who Wish to Serve
--This morning, Senator John Edwards will be on the Today Show. Meredith Vierra will conduct the interview at 7:06 AM EST to talk about Iraq, Health Care, and other ways this administration has messed up our world. Tune in!
--Regarding Hillary, a word from Bill:
Look, with Republicans using everything in their arsenal to stop herGo girl. Go even more even.
campaign, Hillary is going to need every one of us to do everything that we can
for her.
During eight years in the White House, Hillary and I faced a constant
barrage of attacks from Washington Republicans. No insult was off-limits. No
tactic was too low. They threw everything they could at us -- but we beat them
time and time again.
The attacks on Hillary haven't stopped, and she hasn't stopped winning. You
know how they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger? Well, Hillary is as
strong as they come.
--And my brother called me the other day from Los Angeles.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"I'm at a Barack Obama rally, Kate," he said. "I've got momentum and hope. I've got energy and enthusiasm. I've got historical sh*t goin' on. What've you got?"
(long pause)
"Post-nasal drip and a sale on support hose."
More on that later...

While I know and am sure that washington republicans continuously attacked them, they werent anywhere innocent themselves. Every person who challenged or crossed them coincidentally would be audited by the IRS for multiple years in a row. And thats not mentioning all the suspicious deaths, murders, and suicides from people so close to the clintons since 1985 when Bill became governor.
Im not saying they are any worse than anyone else, Im just saying they are politicians, and acting like its all other people's fault, things that happen to them, is just false.
Plus, Bill only won his first term with 43% of the vote, beating Bush by 4% when Ross Perot garnered 20% of the vote, many republicans.
Additionally, Hillary has the likeability of a toad, while Bill had much better personality / likeability. Hillary has won 2 elections in NY, where republicans are as scarce as southern baptist churches.
A national election would be much tougher for her. Im not saying she could not win, but it would be much tougher.
I like Hillary. And I like toads. But I don't see that they are at all alike.
And NY has had republican officials, including a popular governor, so give her some credit.
Well most people dont like toads.
NY did have a republican governor, thats b/c republicans do in NY what democrats do in my home state of IN, they moderate as much as possible to get elected.
IN had a governor democrat 12 years in a row, only until the final democrat governor, who got elected b/c of the popularity of Evan Bayh, who was really a moderate democrat governor. Then that governor raised the sales tax property taxes, and the gas tax, and got pummeled by 20% in his re-election bid.
Despite evan bayh, IN democrats are as scarce as republicans in NY. True, NY is not as liberal as MA, which shows how truly good, moderate, or pandering, Mitt Romney was.
Now i would vote for any republican that gets nominated, but the only one i find even remotely likeable is Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee. Just b/c i vote for them doesnt mean i think they are likeable.
Im sure you really dont think Hillary is all that likeable, at least compared to the others. While Edwards panders to the anti war crowd hoping for the nomination, he is likeable. And while Obama is EXTREMELY far left liberally, he is very smart and likeable.
You go girl (Ms Elia). You are hard
as nails. I see sensitivity training in your future.
Hillary or Barack for president... I would be happy with either.
Rich,
Firstly, let's get some facts straight. Perot only garnished 11% of the vote in the first election. He was up to 44% before he pulled out and then slid down when he returned.
Regarding NY's Republican minority. I grew up in ther northeast and lived in NYC for 1.5 years recently. You are 100% wrong about the strength and size of Republicans in that state. But un like you, they don't vote party line. They vote for the best person which does take some intelligence. If the antiChrist presented himself as a born again, anti-choice, gun toting republican, the right wingers would all vote for him, as would you. How about showing some common sense and vote for the better candidate.
So I assume you voted for Bush: ex-cheerleader, draft dodging, string pulling, alcohol and drug abuser, self rightious ass kisser to the religious right to get his lazy unsuccesful ass into office. I can say this as a conservative. He ran against a man, Kerry whom I was not a fan of. However, his credentials towered over Bushes. And the detractors of Bush were correct in predicting what he would do. And now you and I and our great grandchildren will pay a price for his folley in Iraq, even against the advice of his father and his fathers advisors - that's called Hubris at the very least.
Yet I transgress - use your brain, if you have one, and vote for the best person running for office who will do the most good for the nation as opposed to voting down party lines which takes the intelligence of a brain damaged TOAD. Too early to tell who that person is, so I am watching to see. Sounds like you have already decided - that takes an IQ of 0 so don't bother keeping ontop of politics because you won't be part of any solutions and changes for the better.
Yep. I can see the attraction to Rudi. Guy keeps his mistress down the hall from his wife in the mansion paid for by the tax-payers. Finds rebirth of his political career when he realizes he can stand in front of a picture of ground-zero and see his poll numbers jump 10 points. Great guy. Lots of real talent. Yep.
