Who's Next?

In recent weeks, a series of news stories have emerged that paint a disturbing picture: the Bush Administration has systematically removed US Attorneys who were leading corruption investigations into public officials.

And it's happened in as many as eight or nine cases.

Write to your Senators and Representative to demand that Congress get to the bottom of this story and insulate US Attorneys from political interference.

Kate, do you want me to give my freedom comment again on this??? I will post what i posted on another blog, im sure it will sound familiar to you.

Remember, while I am most certain there is an inside corrupt reason Bush fired these US Lawyers, NO ONE has a 'right' to keep their job. Outside of the federal discrimination laws, anyone can fire any employee for any reason he/she sees fit.

Now can the media cover it and try to find the inside story, sure. But he still has the legal right to fire them if he pleases.

Come on, you really want to live in a country where the President can fire US Attorneys who are looking into matters that might prove his/her were into illegal shenanigans?

I don't.

I win.

We are not anywhere near perfect, but its certainly better than a country where the president can kill anyone who speaks out against him.

Insiders dont think the judges are investigating Bush, but that the administration wanted them to investigate further and indict some democrats before the election.
