Love and Commitment = Marriage

...from 10couples.org.

While there is no secret formula for a successful marriage, love and commitment
remain essential ingredients. And government does its part, too, by providing
hundreds of protections to help families get through difficult times. Meet ten
committed couples who are sharing their lives and building families
together. Watch their videos and learn what you can do to ensure that these
ordinary couples are no longer denied important protections for their families.
Learn what you can do and spread the word.

The main theme across each of the 10 stories seemed to me to be about gaining civil rights through a legalized relationship of same sex partners. I want to take another tangent.
A few of the couples mentioned God. Dick and Bob have a Christian Diversity flag.
Being a linker and thinker, are we born with a true perception of God (includes none if there is none), but somehow this true belief is changed by the environment we are surrounded by.
In other words, do we have an inate religiosity?

I would say no, we don't have an innate religiosity, as religion is merely a language. No one is really born a Christian, or any specific religion, as the specific set of rituals, beliefs and customs must be learned. What religion provides is a meaningful way to discuss one's perceptions of divinity with others as well as bring one greater understanding of one's faith.

That faith or spirituality is what might be inborn, meaning the sense that something is there (or isn't, depending) and that this something is somehow knowable. At the very least a desire to look. Faith is the looking while spirituality are the specific personal observations one finds.

I am curious if everyone were to spend enough time looking and observing to find "the truth", would there be a monotheistic world?
