I would go with Ted Kennedy. Nothing like killing someone and then waiting 10 hours to call the police.

Oh, nothing smoke and mirrors to distract the talking point, eh rich?

"It was Bill Clinton's fault 9-11 happened! (even though the republican congress is the one responsible for with-holding terror funds and poo-pooing the idea Bin Laden was a threat... Oh, and Bush dismissing dire warnings and taking extended vacation time...)"

Kate said specifically which Republican -- note that, not "politician", Republican -- Blows (and we're talking sexually) the most.

But I digress. Smoke and mirrors, Rich, smoke and mirrors. The "SS GOP-PERMANDENT MAJORITY" is a disaster and trying to bring up something else is just distracting from the situation.

Springs school bans tag, citing conflicts

The Associated Press
Article Last Updated: 08/29/2007 11:30:44 AM MDT

COLORADO SPRINGS —An elementary school has banned tag on its playground after some children complained they were harassed or chased against their will.
"It causes a lot of conflict on the playground," said Cindy Fesgen, assistant principal of the Discovery Canyon Campus school.

Running games are still allowed as long as students don't chase each other, she said.

Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the ban but most parents and children didn't object.

In 2005, two elementary schools in the nearby Falcon School District did away with tag and similar games in favor of alternatives with less physical contact. School officials said the move encouraged more students to play games and helped reduce playground squabbles

---------------

at least the children are still allowed to run ... although that may change, some parents worry that running may cause their children to lose their protective layer of buritto-fat ...

If we mention Ted Kennedy, then I'll go with Laura Bush who also killed her partner in a car accident.

I'm not sure which one is the worst, but I think this latest homosexual guy is by far the best story.
The details of the police report on the smokinggun.com are creepy and hilarious.
Not only is he a Senator up for reelection but he was also on Romney's presidential campaign.

This is where I get so conflicted. Where is that mirror I must look at to make this stuff up. I am not sure if I should bash/defend car's :were any of the killers driving an SUV or a Prius; men or women: only one woman mentioned in this gang, therefore are men more likely to do bad things, and if so, then apply the nature/nurture test to gain insight?
And I was sure that "Springs school bans tag" was going to be about some clothing appendage that identified a particular group -Since it was in Colorado, what could possibly a tag signify?

someone is comparing a drunken senator who drove off a bridge killing the occupant and didn't report it until the next day with a 17 year old girl who ran a stop sign?

Republican, Democrat, does it really matter. They are generally scum bags.

Um, the only reason the 17 year old girl comparison was made was to point out the ridiculousness of the Ted Kennedy to the latest round of Republican scandals comparison.

I find it interesting that liberals, who otherwise could care less about the law, suddenly discover it when it comes to pushing their agenda. For instance in this case, the correct liberal answer would have been that this was a matter of his private life and has nothing to do with his public service. But, like I said, that would be the correct liberal stance to take. At least that was the argument 10 years ago. But then again that was one of your own, so that was different, they're allowed to commit perjury and obstruct justice and all sorts of things and get away with it. These are the same type of people who consider the CIA to be a death squad for the gov't and who believe anything that would happen to it that would disable it would be a good thing, but when incidents can be used to further their agenda and try and damage an administration, then all bets are off. With liberals, the ends justify the means.

But, liberalism is emotion based, and it's whole directive is the accumulation of power in order to control people lives, so I'm not surprised.

Once again rw is an assbag and just don't git nuttin'.
It's not about who did what with who, where, when, or in what position. It's about supporting a viciously oppressive pathological agenda that completely contradicts their personal lifestyle. It's about being a complete f'in hypocrite annnnnd gettin' called out on it thennnnn being a complete f'in liar annnnnd a ridiculously bad one at that.
Spare me the standard Clinton crap, he never forced any morality down anyones throat. I love it when my words do double duty. Ooops, there I go again.

You really think they'll ever look in the mirror? I agree with you it's what they need to do, but it isn't going to happen. That's doesn't fit the template, and they aren't going to stray from the template.

I think I am getting the message.

It's not about the act.

It is about one's proclaimed stance on any given issue.

So if I don't proclaim to denounce - and here we would insert, no, rather, write in my/your choice of action, belief, mores, religious beliefs, etc., etc. - then if I perform, commit or engage in any of the same, I am free from criticism.?

Ok - this is my statement and question. Unleash the hounds.

Hopefully I can explain with minimal sarcasm. When someone preaches and/or uses " traditional family values" issues to get elected - and then gets busted in an activity that is clearly NOT showing traditional family values - well...it's fair to point out the hypocrisy. It's fair to say, "Hey look - you're kind of a phoney."

RW and the like respond with a slightly less mature game of "I know you are but what am I?"

See, breaks down like this, most of us try to live our lives in accordance with some kind of "family values." But I believe the politicians who want to preach, judge, and turn back the clocks are suspect.

Those of us who really try to live good lives don't try to politicize it. I don't hate and judge and point fingers. Because we're all human. And make mistakes. And so I'm much more willing to forgive someone his or her transgressions if they themselves are willing to forgive others their transgressions.

Lots of Dems have a live and let live policy that I can get behind. That's all.

WMD - Do you stand in front of a mirror and dry run this material? I am hard press to think anyone could sincerely buy your attempt at verbal slight of hand. As to the question which you presented- the second paragraph of your second post.

I have gifted you with my presence long enough, but before I go, one suggestion - consider changing your handle. When one calls themself the "WMD of Debate" readers might actually be lead to believe that you possess some hint of a skillset in argumetative writing and/or speech.

>>RW and the like respond with a slightly less mature game of "I know you are but what am I?"<<

I fully realize that getting called out on pointing fingers at the opposition when your own party has the same type of issues if not worse isn't something you like to face, but it still needs to be done. You play a childish game of "Gotcha" when it's the other team and "Cover-up" when it's your own and people are going to notice. They already have. That's why the term "liberal" has turned into a label to be avoided in the past 30 years, because it was obvious libs have a "do as we say not as we do" attitude, and liberals have no one to blame but themselves.

For me, someone does something that violates the law and they should pay the price. I start seeing you blog on Dems that get caught with their hands in the cookie jar and maybe I'll reconsider. But I highly doubt I have to worry about you shining a spotlight on the sins of your own party. These same people had been liberal Dems and I would expect the excuses and rationalizations to start flying. Like I said, pointing out the bad apples on your own team isn't part of the playbook, and there isn't any way in hell you're going to deviate from the playbook. Problem is everyone already knows what's in the playbook because it only contains one play.

Since we are in the big leagues, I didn’t want to have to post the below list of individuals and their circumstances on this space, but it appears it may be necessary to have everything out on the table for all to see at the same time. I personally do not care about the individuals on either side. What I am interested in is the process of the debate.

It appears to me that a “conservative” wants to debate an action, while a “liberal” wants to debate the nuances associated with the action. Hypocrisy seems to be the prevalent nuance. Challenge my logic on the following:

This is Me and Kate saying the same thing differently logically:

Me:"It is about one's proclaimed stance on any given issue" = You:"When someone preaches and/or uses " traditional family values" issues to get elected"

Me:"So if I don't proclaim to denounce" = You:"I don't hate and judge and point fingers.

Me:"I am free from criticism.?"
= You: "And so I'm much more willing to forgive someone his or her transgressions
-------------------------------------------------
This is me making a statement of logic:

“I think I am getting the message.
It is not about the act, it is about the sexual orientation.
If straight man does x - we do y
If gay man does x - we do z
If by-sexual man does x - we look in mirror and face our conflict.” (this is flippant)

Again, I frankly don’t care about these people, but without the data, I don’t think I could get anyone to engage in my above interest.

I should have presented the complete conversation in the above post.

Kate:Being bothered in a rest room is a different story. This is illegal behavior - soliciting sex is such a way - so have the perv arrested. In this day and age, advocating violence against any gay man is irresponsible. Because it happens too often.

Me:
“I think I am getting the message.
It is not about the act, it is about the sexual orientation.
If straight man does x - we do y
If gay man does x - we do z
If by-sexual man does x - we look in mirror and face our conflict.” (this is flippant)

That's not argument and intellect. That's cutting and pasting. It's getting easier to see how you beat out yourself for that crown you wear?

Maybe too much information at once.
We will just use one.

Compare what I said in a previous post to what Kate said in a previous post, and tell me how are they the same or different.

= You: "And so I'm much more willing to forgive someone his or her transgressions "
