Make Someone's DREAMS Come True

I've written about this before. Now it's crunch time.

There could be a "cloture" vote on whether the DREAM Act can be debated and ultimately voted on as early as Wednesday, Oct. 24.

So let's do this.

Why would we want to allow people who have violated our laws to have such a gift. Oh, I know they will vote for socialism and support the hate America crowd which you belong to.

Hi Kate,

Making sense to an RWA (Right Wing Authoritian) follower is sort of like screaming at a wall, but we're still compelled to do it right? Weird...

Anyway, the anonymous RWA makes a point. Although from a predictible perspective -- LAW AND ORDER!!

I do think however that we should in fact stop the flow of non citizens into our nation before trying to repair our broken economic mobility problem.

I think that the flow of cheap labor into our country will eventually hurt us. It's a pretty simple formula really, more people = less jobs; less jobs = less pay; less pay = more poverty.

Once the flow of cheap labor is stoped, and I'm not advocating a guest worker/indentured servant program, then we can figure out what to do with all of the people who are here and who want citizenship.

But if we leave this problem alone and do nothing, America will have a growing underclass that lives under the radar, works under the table, etc. This will certainly the undermine economic mobility for all of us, so yeah we need to help the folks who are here. But like a cell that protects itself from intrusion, a nation should do the same.

I honestly think that once we figure out how to protect our borders better, the law and order crowd will be better satisfied then we can move forward with a responsible solution for the non-citizens who already live here in the U.S.
