Don't let this happen in Florida! We can defeat this mean-spirited Amendment.
Not only did Michigan's Supreme Court use their so-called "marriage protection" amendment to strike down domestic partner protections across the state (click here for the story), but there's also evidence that proponents of Amendment #2 are getting ready to do the same in Florida.
400 people who make contributions $25 or more to help the Fairness for All Families Campaign raise $10,000 will expand grassroots organizing in Northern and Central Florida. The more people know the truth about the real harm this amendment causes, the more they oppose it.
Please make a contribution today.

sorry - yes to 2! marriage is a union between man and woman. look it up - thats a fact.
You live in Colorado now, we Floridians don't give a cr-p what you think or support now.
Crop? Okay, I give up. What's cr-p?
Yes, send YOUR money to solve someone else's problem. That's the liberal way, after all, just tell a great sob story and the suckers will pay and pay.
OH, and chase squires, just for the record, you're a total moron. But then, we knew that.
Anonymous bloggers are nameless, unexceptional, fearful and dull. They also have alot of time on their hands, probably due to the fact that they are uninteresting and unkind.
...and the Dixie Chicks were indeed vilified for exactly the same thing. Consistency and lack of hypocrisy are never important to demogogues. Dixie Chicks are cool.

Sounds like someone's cranky about their property insurance bills!
Sounds like someone's cranky because they know that they are going to LOSE the upcoming election, bigtime, since all the dems presented was the choice between a black racist and an incompetent man-hater (OK, she had good reason to hate Slick Willy, but leave the rest of us out of it).
OH, yes, now I can see where adding a name really makes so much difference.

Dear 5/18/2008 11:08 PM EST Anonymous:
I LOVE internet trolls. I would take you seriously, but considering this statement makes you either delusional or a fraud, I can't possibly consider that an option.
Maybe you haven't watched the news (yes, I will even include FOX News in this statement for our purposes), but McCain is trying to run with a platform that is nearly identical to the single most unpopular president in modern history.
Seriously. Over 70% of the country CANNOT STAND him. Read the opinion polls. Even FOX pundits (who are nearly as entertaining in their blather as you are) are pretty much in agreement that unless the Republicans figure out how to convince people that down is the new up; that war is great for our economy, our military health, and our place as a leader on this planet; and that having a president that will pass the average life expectancy for his category (white males FTW) WHILE HE'S IN OFFICE is absolutely nothing to be concerned about - just look at Cheney!
Black racist? You want to hang your distaste for Obama on that easily disproven Limbaugh talking point?
Incompetent man-hater? Please point me to proof of her incompetence (I'm sure it will be easy, Anonymous - just become a Senator yourself and we'll see just how easy it is to be incompetent in politics) or her hatred of all men, and I'll be the first to bow to your Anonymous greatness.
Don't think I'll hold my breath on that one.
Hey, no one said jack about Amendment 2. I'm from Florida and i'm voting against it. I thing the amendment is crop! I don't care who marries whom. And if you do, fine, care but let them do it anyway, doesn't hurt you, doesn't hurt society. Geez.
