Noonan and Murphy Let Their True Feelings Out

When the cameras aren't pointed at them.

Transcript:

Mike Murphy, former McCain advisor: You know, because I come out of the blue swing state governor work. Engler, Whitman, Thompson, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush. And these guys, this is all like how you want to (inaudible) this race. You know, just run it up. And it's not gonna work.

Peggy Noonan, former Reagan speechwriter: It's over.

Murphy: Still, McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good.

NBC's Chuck Todd: Don't you think the Palin pick was insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson, too (inaudible)

Noonan: I saw Kay this morning.

Murphy: They're all bummed out.

Todd: I mean, is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political [B.S.] about narratives and (inaudible) the picture.

Murphy: I totally agree.

Noonan: Every time the Republicans do that because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at and they blow it.

Murphy: You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

Todd: And as you called it, gimmicky.

Wonder if they've changed their tune this morning?

Is it me or are party conventions just huge masturbation sessions? And is it me or is Rudy a complete buffoon?

Once again Jon Stewart came through...

That is golden.

And did you see when Stewart covered the fireworks coming out of the stadium in Denver after Barack Obama's speech? He said the stadium finally ejaculated. I laughed and laughed.

Both parties really are full of shit. And the only ones you can trust are those of us who hate them both.

I still believe your vote will be for BO in November...

The only thing I took from Palin's speech is that she can read a teleprompter. Those weren't her words and they did nothing for me regardless.

Duh. I don't know any politician that writes his/her own speeches. Ever heard of Jon Favreau?

Jon Favreau? Is he that quarterback that just got traded to the Jets?

I know Jon Favreau, I went to school with Jon Favreau, and Mrs. Palin... is no Jon Favreau.

Obama wrote his own acceptance speech.

Tiny, Obama wrote his own acceptance speech? Not that I ever doubted he did and it doesn't surprise me. I actually love the guy. He's not perfect and there are a few things I don't agree with but over all, he has my vote.
I won't let a couple things that he wants to do or has done, change my vote.

Funny. I thought he was the cute one in Swingers.

Kate, Mikey was so money in Swingers... He was so money he didn't even know it! (I own it on DVD)

So to answer John in IL's question: yes I know who Jon F. is. But you got the fact wrong: There is a politician who has written his own speeches. Barack Obama for one.

And the acceptance speech is just one of them. That speech on race during the Reverand Wright scandal was another.

I'll take what I said back. BO writes his speeches with the help of his speech writers.

"I'll take what I said back"
No, you just re-arranged it to fit your purpose of throwing out the same statement.

I admitted I was wrong. Sorry if that's not good enough for you.
