Who Cares About Taxes?

Both McCain and Obama are talking about who will and who will not raise your taxes.

Go here, fill out your income information and then see for yourself whose plan works best for you.

Then vote accordingly. Cause nothing's more important than taxes.

Cool chart! I save about a grand a year with Obama's plan.

I expect my taxes (and yours) to go up no matter which one gets elected. We need to pay for the Iraqi adventure and pay for whatever stock/bank bailout bill finally gets passed, plus probably some sort of additional "economic stimulus" plan that will be just about demanded by Congress if the current recession gets worse.

Exactly the same under both plans (according to this). What to do...

Unfortunately, both candidates want to further complicate an already incomprehensible tax code. More than 50% of filers pay someone else to figure their taxes (a cost that is also highly regressive). That's so wrong. You can raise the same (or more) money from the same people with a much (much) simpler tax code. Reagan tried to simplify the tax code, but ultimately failed. I blame both parties.
