Ray Sansom - Take Your Jobs and Shove It

At a time when most Floridians are struggling to find or keep jobs and stay afloat, Representative Ray Sansom (R-Destin) is one lucky guy.

He got two new jobs in one day.

Sansom was named the new Speaker of the Florida House and got hired at Northwest Florida State College earning at least six figures.

You're probably thinking - so what? Dude's doing all right. Good for him.

Right.

Except that earlier this year, while Florida struggled through a budget crisis, Sansom guided $25 million to Northwest even though they only asked for $1 million.

Sweet deal, I know.

So what to do with Sansom? The choices are - we could:

- do nothing.

- buy him a beer.

- pressure his fellow Reps to censure him.

- demand he step down from public service and get a job on his own instead of with our money.

- require that he resign from Northwest.

Call his office and tell him what you think.

Or take this poll at Progress Florida. Then they'll tell him for you.

What if we all could route taxpayer dollars to our dream employer and then get a sweet gig as part of the thank-you note?

Wouldn't that be something?

How many other states change house speaker annually? I am really getting sick of Florida doing this as it just brings in a new tone far too soon and someone tries to make a huge slew of changes in his (and it's always a HIS) one year as speaker...

As for this assclown, he's sullying the "Citizen legislator" moniker -- a person in government who is more common than the rest of the pols. He keeps using that title as an excuse for why he can do what he has... And now he is crying partisanship when people speak ill of his dealings.

Yeah, we're really moving forward in Florida government with this guy in charge of the new laws that are passed... NOT.
